Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Mork Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales ("Mork", "we", "us", or "our"), collects and uses your personal information when you use getmork.com and our service (the "Service"). We are the data controller for this information. This policy is provided under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Information We Collect
We collect:
- Account information — your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash).
- Business information — details you enter to set up your brand, such as your business name, contact details, and social media handles.
- Payment information — your subscription and billing details. Card payments are handled by our payment provider; we do not store your full card details.
- Content you create — the prompts, posts, captions, and images you generate or upload using the Service.
- Connection data — where you connect a social media account, the access needed to publish content on your behalf.
- Technical data — basic usage, device, and IP information used to operate and secure the Service.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide and operate the Service, generate and publish your content, process payments, send service-related emails, keep the Service secure, and comply with our legal obligations.
Our lawful bases for processing are: performance of a contract (to provide the Service you sign up for), legitimate interests (to secure and improve the Service and prevent fraud), consent (where we ask for it, such as for marketing), and legal obligation (to meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements). Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Who We Share It With
We share personal information only with the service providers who help us operate the Service, and only as far as necessary. These include providers of payment processing, AI content generation, social media publishing, email delivery, and hosting. These providers act on our instructions as our processors.
We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect our legal rights.
4. International Transfers
Some of our service providers are located outside the United Kingdom. Where your personal information is transferred outside the UK, we ensure it is protected by an appropriate safeguard recognised under UK data protection law, such as the International Data Transfer Agreement or a transfer to a country with UK adequacy status.
5. Data Retention
We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we delete your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain records to comply with legal or financial obligations.
6. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information, including encryption in transit and secure storage. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.
7. Your Rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to the processing of, and port your personal data, and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@getmork.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk), though we ask that you contact us first.
8. Children
The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the Service or by email.
